St. Peter and Pauli Church
Luther's baptistery
Since 2012, the reformer's baptismal church has focused on the theme of baptism through its modern design, making it more than just an authentic Luther site. Completed in 1513, the three-nave church building underwent several transformations over the centuries. In addition to the modern circular baptismal fountain as a central design element, the baptismal font, which contains remnants of Luther's baptismal font at the time, also allows baptism by pouring over.
Individual visitors and groups from all over the world and of all ages come to the Zentrum Taufe, celebrate services and baptisms, attend workshops and seminars and thus enter into conversation about baptism. At the same time, St. Peter and Paul's Church is used for services, devotions, concerts, exhibitions and other events.
